Champion of Service

Art of Living Foundation

Founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar explains “The Art of Living is more of a principle, a philosophy of living life to the fullest. It is more a movement than an organization. Its core value is to find peace within oneself and to unite people in our society – of different cultures, traditions, religions, nationalities; and thus reminding us all that we have one goal to uplift human life everywhere.” Since founded in 1982, the Art of Living has empowered over 370 million lives around the world with the gift of authentic yoga and meditation. In Massachusetts, the Art of Living has been the trailblazer in introducing yoga and meditation to universities, administration, hospitals, corporate offices and schools. The ever-ready team of Art of Living volunteers has replaced darkness of depression and trauma in the lives of thousands of veterans, inmates and victims of natural calamities with the light of self-empowerment through yoga and meditation. The Art of Living is the largest volunteer run organization in the world. Today, we thank the Art of Living Foundation for their service to the residents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
